Meintraining, I would say rub it on, it goes right into the skin!!! I used it when I had the lapband, and it's oily but its better than having scars????

This is something i learned while ttc. it can take anywehre from 3-6 months for your body to make a stockpile from pill nutrients. so you start taking pills 3-6 months prior to ttc to give your body the best supply for the job. the same would be true for this, just getting it in your body to help it heal from the inside--instead of producing a baby of course lol. BUT they say not to take any fish oil or viteman e oil before surgery so, for now, i'd start with just rubbing it on your skin. when i take a shower, i use a homemade sugar scrub which is 1 part sugar to one part olive oil. it helps with circulation. and end my shower with rubbing coconut oil on my skin like a moisturizer. but i assume you could do the same with Vitamin e oil, at least till after the surgery. :)

Megan, I did not know it takes that long for your body to intake the Vitamins like that? I know after my lapband surgery I used the oil and rubbed it on and it seemed to help ok with my scars, and I am going to continue to do that after my bypass surgery, Thanks for that info, as I would never have guessed that!!!

no problem. im hoping that if i start taking vit e oil immediatly, and doing the rubbing it will help tremendously. but im also hoping that the surgery will be laproscopic not open.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
