Here are my midway pics.

The ones in my purple shirt are from last August before I started my program.

Gastric sleeve was 12/23/2013

The pics in my brown top and black pants are from my halfway point at minus 49 pounds / 51 to go,

Taken on 2/23/2014, exactly two months post op.

Belly is still resisting, although 3" smaller, but you can tell that my face, arms, and chest and thighs are smaller

And I am starting to get ribs and a waist.

The wedding picture shows you how thin I was in 1970 (108 pounds on my wedding day).

Look at those too thin bony arms! My goal weight is 135.post-182976-0-25861100-1393181461_thumb.jpg post-182976-0-34453700-1393181477_thumb.jpg post-182976-0-88068700-1393181502_thumb.jpg post-182976-0-77664800-1393181518_thumb.jpg post-182976-0-63122300-1393181550_thumb.jpg post-182976-0-71011300-1393181570_thumb.jpg post-182976-0-59413900-1393181589_thumb.jpg post-182976-0-69164900-1393181615_thumb.jpg

I carry a lot of my weight in my middle. Sadly, the core is the last place to lose. Still and all, you can tell you have lost quite a bit! Your mid-section will shrink too you are only a few months post op. Nice job... keep up the good work. You are going to be ready for summer soon.

Miss Mac, you are looking terrific. you can certainly see your weight loss in your face and arms and you are much smaller in the middle. Like the previous poster said, losing in the core area takes so much longer. Women were made to hold their weight in that area to aid in child bearing so you can't fight nature. Keep on doing what you are doing and you will soon notice even larger changes. Thanks for sharing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
