Hi everyone. I just joined this afternoon. This site seems to be amazing! I am having my sleeve surgery on 2/24/14, and am just so excited! I can't wait to start my new life! There is a little bit of nervousness and even some self doubt creeping in now that it is getting closer, but I know that I can do this, and do it well! Welcome to the forum. I had my surgery on 1/20 and am doing great. I was very nervous but it all was easy and the pain was well controlled. I spent a lot of time worrying for nothing. Now I am on the " losers bench " with only good things ahead. Good luck to you!

Hi Fred, my husband was scared to death, but I was more scared what would happen to him if he did not have the sleeve. We are both 2 months post op and extremely happy. I am off Metformin, and we are both off one BP med each, and both have lost over 40 lbs in 2 months. This surgery has been a Godsend. I don't know your age but I wish we had done this 10 years ago. Hi GG & everyone! I just joined this site too today, just browsing and saw your post. I'm pre-op don't have a scheduled surgery yet, my doctor is shooting for March. We'll be scheduling at my next appt on the 20th of Feb.
