Who is in March?

Hi folks, looking for other folks scheduled for March...anyone?

How are you preparing for surgery? What protein sources are you planning to use?

Did anyone get an incentive spirometer to prevent pneumonia? Our nurse said we are supposed to do it ten times an hour for two weeks! I think that's kind if crazy.

Thank you! I am sipping on my first protein shake and it's going down better than anything else. It's scary to realize how easy it would be to get dehydrated! Just want to get past the pain stage. At least nausea is better.

Yes i was givin an incentive spriometer at my preop hospital visit. Was told after surgery it will help prevent pneumonia. Was told how often to.do it.

I mean was not told i had to do it 10 times every hour for 2 weeks

Im starting to have cold feet:(. I know this is something i want. Im just scared that i will lose more than i want to because my goal weight i will feel comfortable at is like 200. I dont want to be skinny. I just want to be healthy and i want to keep meat on my bones. But i am going through with this in 3 more days because to get to goal of 200 i need to lose 109 lbs

How tall are you? You never know. You might find yourself feeling so good and healthy that you do want to lose more. You can always do weights to gain muscle too. It seems like it's really not that hard to gain the weight back, so if you do lose more than you like, over time you would be able to get back to where you want to be.

Loveit2012. I am 5' 6. And four years ago before i became pregnant with my daughter i weighed 214 and i felt wonderful. I was happy woth my body for the most part. I was able to walk miles with no pain and i was able to hike trails here in the smoky mountains where i live for like 2 miles up a mountain amd 2 back.down and felt great. Thats why my goal is 200. I have gained up to 322 in 4 years and now im at 309 . Time to get back to the old me!!!

Also. At the weight of 214 i conceived my daughter naturally. And at over 300 i havent been able to conceive not even with clomid. I am doing this to grow my family as well !! Hope it helps
