Hi folks, looking for other folks scheduled for March...anyone?

How are you preparing for surgery? What protein sources are you planning to use?

It gets better! The pain was excruciating for about an hour. Then it settled down but was bad for about a day. The nausea was the worst part for me. Good for you walking so much. I got up every hour to pee but I didn't walk til next day. Each day gets easier!

Heyy everyone so surgery went well!! I had a small tiny hernia and that was repaired as well. Immediatly after surgery i had a great deal of pain. Abdomen, back!! WAS THE WORST and my neck and shoulders. I was in tears. So the hooked up my pain pump and of walking i went. Ive done 8 laps of my wing so far and get up to walk at leaat every hour. My pain has decrrased significantly how ever i am still in pain. Will update tomarrow

Welcome to the losers side ;)

Well I had my surgery today. I'm very bummed they couldn't do the sleeve today. There was too much scar tissue, so they only removed my lap band. I will go back in two months to have the revision to sleeve and v the hernia repair. I'm in a fair amount of pain right now, feeling disappointed, I know its best this way.

Ill keep you posted. Hope all you who were sleeved today are doing ok.

Hugs!

Jen

Well I had my pre-op visit today and I am down 9 lbs. in 2 1/2 weeks and I didn't have to do the liquid pre op diet so I am happy. Told the doctor I was anxious he asked me if I had any doubts I said NO so he said I was anxiously excited! Loved it. Worried what he will be able to do for my huge umbilical hernia but I just love this doctor and have tremendous faith in him.
Thursday the 20th is Sleeve Day!

I'm sorry. :(. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry but that won't make you feel better. What a bummer. I did just see someone who had to go back for a revision 6 months out of their sleeve because of scar tissue. This might save you a different complication later. Still, I'm bummed for you!

I would definitely rather have everything go smoothly. I was just mentally ready. So I'm bummed. Its okay though. Two months isn't so bad I guess. Ill have to do the pre op diet again lol yay jk.

I'm going to try & get scheduled for a Friday, so that I won't have too many work issues.

Surgery was yesterday!

Great deal of pain first 24 hours.

When tried walking I would get nausea really bad. So they upped the nausea meds overnight.

The gases aren't passing too well so there will be more walking today.

Glad the surgery part is over! Onto healing! Hopefully I'll be home tomorrow. .

Headed to the hospital now super excite please take a moment an say a little prayer for me if you would. Thanks in advance

So with every hour im doing better. I am a little restless however and have been getting my walk on. 18 laps and counting.

Did you experience nausea When walking?

I had some nausea immediatly after surgery but once i took the medecine i havent bad nausea. Ive had afairly easy recovery so far. Walking has been very easy for me and i have minimal pain. My advice would be use you pain pump thus makes it tolerable to get up walking and move around in bed ect. Id say without this pump i wouldnt have done 18 laps around my wing
