I was told immediately to start walking (light and easy, nothing too strenuous)
at 2 week post op, I was still stuck with a 20lb limit

at my 6 week post op, I did not see my surgeon and forgot to ask if I was fully cleared.

Walking is best until you're released by your surgeon for more. *Generally* surgeons don't want you on a machine/bike because of trauma from falling off.

Walking is the best medicine immediately after surgery. I was walking right after they moved me from recovery.

At 6 weeks I was cleared for the elliptical and at 8 weeks I was cleared for all exercise, including light weights.

At 10 weeks, I am currently doing 60-75 minutes of cardio most days of the week, but haven't started on the weights yet. I don't know what my aversion is...I'm making a concerted effort to do so this week!

Best of luck to you

I have a spine problem that makes walking tough (spondylolisthesis grade 2). My leg goes dead not long into walking. I have been riding my bike in effort to exercise without compressing the leg nerve. My hubby got me the indoor trainer for my bike so I can ride stationary until it is warm enough to get back outside. I am in hopes I will be able to start that soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
