RJ has moved to the next step for herself!

Well guys I hired a personal trainer..Yup that's right!!!!!!!!! He comes on Tuesday for our first meeting...

This guy specializes in helping those who have had severe problems like recovering from heart and stroke..MS, long hospital stays..Oh yes that's me......When I was in the coma and my months after I lost all my muscle mass..I only have recovered a little because of continued illness...

I was told about this man as he suffered similar circumstances in the fact that he almost died. Lost all his muscle mass and started from the ground up rebuilding himself....

I am nervous but excited as well to get started...

I told him I have no desire to sweat, be sore or ever run a marathon.........He laughed and said you will sweat and you will be sore. running a Marathon is up to you or not....

Looking forward to the next step in this journey......Thought I would share it with you guys...........I am going to start exercising after 14 months!!!!!!!!!!!! Other then walking I might add!!

RJ, would you mind giving an idea of what the trainer has you do everyday. I am working with a variety seniors - level strength training and body movement, but I am sure some of us achy old timers would like to know what he has you do, so maybe we could follow along?

Well he is designing a program for me..So once he does I'll let you know some of the ins and outs....I think I am in for a lot of ouch!!!!!lol

This is so great, and I am so proud of you!

Some years ago, I weighted 230-250 lbs but got physically fit, incl. a physical trainer, and it was a wonderful experience.

I think that your having found a trainer who understands how your critical illness is super-smart.

Maybe the most exciting part is to imagine how this will make you stronger and your body more able to knock the poop out of lingering illness. Way to go. I look forward to frequent updates, tips, etc.

How awesome for you! You are so determined!! I also had a complication from wls (nothing compared to yours), and I think it has made me stronger and more determined to make this work and stick for the rest of my life! Good luck and keep us posted!! Maria

I wish you the best success as you take the next step in your journey! That is what it is.... YOUR JOURNEY! We all take this weight loss journey but it is completely different for each person & we all musy find our own way, in our own time & as god wants us to. You are an Amazing woman & you deserve nothing but the best from this point on! Congratulations on all you overcome & all you will succeed in, in the future!
