Migraine. Help!

Recommended Posts

My wife had her surgery in May of last yr, doing great I might add. She has had a Migraine since Monday night. She is sleeping now and if she wakes up again with we r headed to the emergency room. I know since she had surgery there r something's she can't take anymore. But what can she take to make it go away and/or ease up a bit. It's not fun to see someone you love hurtin like this. This is her husband and it's killing me to see how bad she is. HELP

Your wife should really see her physician for a migraine which lasts more than a day.

I have frequequent Migraines, and have a strong pain med for relief. There are many other options for treatment, but they are all prescription meds. Sometimes warm compresses on the forehead and back of the neck have helped me.

Just be certain to avoid any NASIDS, such as any medication which contains asperin or ibuprofen, as the risk for possible complications may be significant.

I hope she feels better fast...

My doctor gave me topamax for my headaches. It works ok but I had to stop taking it because of the side effects. I didn't like the dizziness and numbness in my feet. I've been told by others to ask about Botox injections. It's worth a try.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
