My Dr wants me to use Bariatric fusion for my liver reduction diet as well as post op. I don't have a surgery date yet but I've been sampling different flavors. I've tried chocolate, Cappuccino, vanilla and mint chocolate. They all seem to leave a metallic taste in my mouth.

Is this normal with all Protein shakes? I've been mixing with Water. Do you think milk would make a big difference? I just do to spend the big money on the tub if I hate it!

I had different experiences with different shake mixes. I didn't' like a lot of them for different reasons. Pure Protein Chocolate turned out to be a favorite. If the one that was recommended doesn't' appeal to you, talk to your doctor, see if a comparable product that you enjoy more is ok.

Watch it cause I am 2 weeks post op and I tried different kinds of Protein before surgery and found some to be ok but all that changed after surgery now I have been through 3 different kinds and they all make me nauseous.

Have you tried unjury chicken Soup? I really enjoyed having something warm and savory instead of the sweet shakes at times. Good Protein count and tastes good too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
