  1. I was just sleeved on 2/24 by Dr Cavaretta. He is a good doctor but has like no personality whatsoever. He Is very to the point and nothing more. I actually took my workshops prior to my first appt. The morning of my first appt I has my psych eval. I chose to go outside of synergy because I was able to be seen more quickly. Once they receive the psych eval and your workshops are complete, they submit to insurance. I was approved 2 days later. Since I was approved in January, they were still waiting on the operating room schedule so my op date took 2 weeks to get. It was scheduled 4 weeks out. What ins do you have? Have you looked I to it as far as if any requirements are needed?
  2. Do you know when the next one will be or where I would look to find that information? I was just sleeved on Monday

  5. I came home from the hospital today. Thank goodness! I never started passing gas until late last night, but I just had a BM yay!! Water and tea stayed down but the nasty lime diet Jello tried to come back up. I talked my self out of throwing up and I'm glad it worked!! I tried a fat free pudding cup when I got home and only managed to eat about 2/3 of it. I keep sipping on the water but I don't e en know if it's possible to drink as much as they want! I'm not gonna lie, I had a huge moment of regret- why did I do this to myself?
  6. I was on a 10 day diet. Clear liquids, although I could have milk with my protein shakes, broth, SF Popsicles and SF jello. I had to have 4 shakes a day. I was also allowed 1/2 cup of non starchy veggies per day. Today is my last day-yay!! I am 10 lbs down. Good luck!
  7. Tomorrow is my surgery!!!! I am so ready The hubs keeps telling me "don't be nervous." I'm not, maybe he is?? Lol I have lost 10 lbs on my liver reduction diet (10 days) and it feels good to see that number go down- can't wait for the big drops!!!! What should I bring to the hospital with me? Yay!!!!!!
  8. What is the bowel prep drink I keep reading about? I am scheduled for surgery on 2/24 and was never told that I would need to take something like that?
  9. Phew!!! Thanks all! The plain chicken broth makes me gag! LoL I tried a sample of the unjury chicken last Friday and immediately ordered a can of it! It's great but obviously it will take a couple days to get to me.
  10. Does anyone know if the Swanson flavor infused broths are considered a clear liquid? I am on my pre-op and my dr office is closed. I want to stop at the store but I don't want to buy it if it's not. Please and thank you!!

  19. That is why I keep focusing on the prize! tempt me all you want... I will continue to be strong!!
  20. I am allowed 4 Protein shakes, sf Jello, sf Popsicles, broth, Clear liquids and 1/2 cup of non starchy veggies every day. And that is the thing. I am NOT hungry, but who waves bacon in front of someone?!?!? It's not the fact that I am hungry, it's the fact that if I wanted to eat something I can't. I am really proud of myself though. My mother in law is a great cook, and I have not even thought about cheating.
  21. I today is day 3(of 10) of my pre-op liver reduction diet. Day. 1 was a Valentines day "sweets" day at work. I managed just fine. Day 2 we came out to my in-laws in another town to spend the night. They are Italian and every single conversation is about food. It was a hard day, but again, I managed. I am laying in bed right now on the morning if day 3 and all I can smell is the damn bacon cooking downstairs! Come on people.... Really??? I can do this. I will do this.
  22. Thank you! Day 1 went great. Day 2 we are visiting my husbands ITALIAN family(overnight). That means practically every conversation is food related and quite frankly I'm pissed and wish I was home. I have made it through though.. I'm tough... I know this is what I want. I will do this
  23. I completely agree! I am almost to day 3 of my 10 day pre-op and I already hate my strawberry sorbet protein shakes! Luckily I have chocolate and vanilla too. As for the broth, I just loaded it up with pepper. Just finished some jello and Popsicles will be in a little while. I completely emphasize with you! WE can do this!!! I just keep thinking of the purpose and how much I desire a new me
  24. Tomorrow I start my liver reduction diet for 10 days! I have been doing two shakes a day for the past couple days to start getting used to it. So far so good but tomorrow will be the ultimate test!!! 10 more days and it's time for a new me
