I started couch to 5k on Monday in addition to my regular stuff. So today will be day 2 of week 1. Let me say I have never ever been a runner not once. I put on my bucket list to run one 5k and my sister in law decided it would be Run or Dye on June 7th this year lol... So I figured I better get moving I have 9 weeks to be ready. The moral of the story is I finished day 1 the whole thing and was able to do it all!!! I was so proud of myself. I don't know how I will do through the rest of the program but it's a good start!!

Thank you for being such an inspiration to me!!!!!

just walking as much as i can.........(i do count 74 steps x2) x 7 or 8 per day at work as part of my walking and my ever loving step aerobics DVD with susan powter

i was thinking the other day while doing my thing.....its not what i am not doing (as compared to some)

but it is that i am merely DOING...

as my UNC #1 basketball player of all time represents with Nike....just do it

do it and get well...

I work at a very large hospital and walked all over the place for meetings and other everyday things I have to do. I haven't been able to do much exercising yet, but get to see my primary physician in a few weeks and hoping he will write me a script to go to a wellness center that is located near my home. Since I have had knee replacements and have this weight on it is really hard for me to do anything that has impact on my legs. Maybe this way being followed by a physical therapist he/she will be able to get me doing something that will help me with losing more weight and something that won't allow me to injury myself like I have in the past. Here's Hoping!!! I just Loved the comment from Catfish87 made!!!

TO: CATFISH

I so wanted to be able to play UCONN but it wasn't meant to be for me...

being a southerner, I must pull for FL as you know I cannot pull for your team

however, if they win (cough cough/gag)....I will be happy for YOU

I hope NEXT year to whip your ass (again) as I do recall I did in the dean dome ♥ in dec 2013

however this was me when I lost:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
