It's great that they found it now! Just a bump on the road. The road is bumpy for everyone.

I had that - it's not fun. I felt much better (less fatigued) once I got rid of it.

Make sure you find a good quality pro-biotic to take - that will help keep you from getting it again.

I agree with the statements above I found out that I had it to I had to take an aggressive medications for two weeks then it was gone, Im glad that they found out early before I had my surgery. I have to admit I did feel better once it was gone no upset stomach and I had more energy.

Thanks guys! I am glad they found it. It explains the constant nausea. I already feel better since starting to use my CPAP...didn't even realize I wasn't dreaming anymore. So after this treatment I'll feel even better. I will start finding a probiotic to use.

My blood work back in July showed antibodies for H.Pylori, I had a follow-up breath test which was negative. The culture from the endoscopy in October was also negative.

How did they find yours? blood work, breath test or endoscopy?

My blood work was negative. I had my EGD and the biopsies were positive. Thank God they found it!

I had h pylori prior to my sleeve. My dr said it would not effect my surgery date.. And it did not. I had to take 40 antibiotic meds n 10 days. Then took a stool test after. My h pylori was all cleared up.

Join the club Honey, I was diagnosed back in October at the beginning of my journey. My surgeon prescribed me a med. that cost $500. I didn't have any prescription coverage at the time, so he basically prescribed 3 meds. that had all of the ingredients to treat it...2 antibiotics and Omerazole (Prilosec), the cost was about $130. I had to take about 8 pills a day for 10 days. Because I had C-Diff (like colitis) before (hospitalized for 5 days), I had to start taking a probiotic a few days before, 2 each day during, and for a few days after I finished the round of meds. I can definitely tell the difference. Definitely take everyone's advice and take the probiotic with it.

The treatment is not fun, but it provides life changing results. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
