Would love Support in Denver!

Recommended Posts

I just scheduled my sleeve for April (if all goes well with classes and insurance!) I am a single, 44 year old woman who lives in Denver and while I have some friends here...family is out of state and neither friends or family really understand why I am doing this. I would love to find/ meet some folks in the Denver area who have gone through bariatric surgery or are in the process of getting WLS.

Thanks Much,...y'all are an inspiration to those of us just starting down this path!

Hi! I'm Dani and I had my sleeve on Tuesday January 21st, 2014. I live on the Littleton/Centennial border. My insurance is Kaiser. Dr Chae did my surgery at St Josephs hospital in Denver. I'm originally from Aurora, but many generations of my family are natives from Silverton and Boulder. I'm a married 33 year old mother of two. I look forward to being fit in the fittest of all 50 states.

Hope your journey goes wonderfully! Keep me posted on your progress.

Hello. I'm in Lowry area and had surgery 12/17 in Dallas. I would love a little Denver support group! I think my friends and family are sick of hearing me and they just don't understand.

Great!!!!. Maybe we could set up a gathering? Maybe at a park or something? I'd love to chat with people who know or want to know what going through this is like. I love this forum but it would be nice to connect in person too.

Love seeing more Denver folk! And I am also looking forward to being one of the fit in the fittest state in the union!

I am in Sunnyside, but would love to meet up with other sleevers in the area....especially during the summer, where outdoor activities are abundant!

Good luck to y'all

How are you wonderful Denver women doing? I have been officially scheduled for surgery on April 28th....which means my last hurrah is going to be at The Rockies home opener :)

I really am looking forward to spending the summer slimming down, biking, hiking and enjoying this great city with a little more confidence.

Would live to hear updates from Denver post-ops :)

Hello,

I'm doing well. I am 2 1/2 weeks Post Op from my bypass and down 45lbs. I am down 64lbs since Pre Op in November. Although I have at least another 80lbs to go, I'm feeling great. I have been working with a personal trainer 2 days a week for about a month now and he's helping to keep my motivated.

Hi all, I'm in Aurora. I'm brand new to the boards. I have started to process to get sleeved but have a 3-6 month wait before I get my surgery date. Wishing everyone great success and I look forward to getting to know you all better!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
