Stress, newly sleeved

Recommended Posts

I need help, please. I was sleeved 6 weeks ago. My husband of 16 years passed away Saturday. I'm feeling very dizzy and lightheaded this morning. Makes me nervous to get out of chair. I've been drinking, of course not near 64oz. Eating, but not as much as I should. Urinating normally. Any suggestions? Thank you

First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure there are a million reasons you are dizzy and lightheaded. You might be dehydrated so push the fluids, maybe get yourself a Protein shake too.

I'm guessing that you have 1,000 things to attend to today, but maybe check in with your doctor when you can.

Again, so so sorry.

I haven't been sleeved yet so I really can't give you feedback as to why you're not feeling well, but I just wanted to give you my condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine what you must be feeling. Taking care of yourself needs to be a priority and I suspect you do not have the emotional energy to even do that. Do you have friends and family who are with you to encourage and support you? Are you getting any sleep? Obviously drinking and eating what you can is important, but I think resting your mind may be the best thing you can do. Touch base with your doctor about how you are feeling and if you need any medication for sleep and/or anxiety. The other thing that comes to mind is to make sure you have someone to talk to, whether that be a professional or friends or family. Again, I am so sorry for your enormous loss. Take care and peace to you.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
