There's a Protein problem there for sure....you need to contact your nut and tell her what has happened...don't know what your diet is..so many kinds out there for pre-op but low protein is not good, drives your blood sugar down...

It's a full liquid diet. shake and pudding in morning, shake and Soup in afternoon, drink and another shake in evening. My shakes are Unjury. I take everything from the instructions of my nut. The surgeon has been notified.

I came close a few times while on my pre op diet. In my case it was from getting all liquid calories. Not getting any solids keeps anything from staying in your system for any amount of time.

Were you hypoglycemic to begin with? I've had that most of my adult life and that's how I get if I don't get enuf Protein. I ended up having a good 10 weeks of only liquids and I had to tell my boss I couldn't handle my job for the teatime being. I'm a caretaker and cleaner at a large apartment complex. She was understanding for sure but I felt so defeated.

Now, 11 weeks later I've lost 60 pounds.

Hope you feel better soon!

Were you taking any diabetes medication? If you are, maybe you shouldn't be on them anymore... (ask your doctor)

No I am not diabetic. I did have hypoglycemia when I was little. I drank a full shake about 10 minutes before all this happened. It was bizarre.

Got low blood sugar on my pre-op diet. Fainted... Oh what fun...

For low blood sugar patients docs & NUTS usually allow a fresh fruit a day. Won't hurt you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
