I Have MVP insurance, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with getting skin removal with MVP possibly paying for the insurance. I have chronic infection in my belly button and could use to get lower abdominal skin removal. I am going on 2 years post op.. Any advise in how to proceed is appreciated.

HI there I don't have that insurance hopefully someone with pipe in with info, but what I have learned is that a) MVP probably offers multiple varieties of insurance so what worked for someone may not work for you.

B) Those who got their TT's approved by insurance often called up their providers and asked for the criteria for qualifying for that procedure. After that, they worked with their doctors to document the conditions and meet the specific requirements their insurance needed to qualify. Maybe that will work for you?

If you go to your insurance company website, you should be able to look up your benefits and coverage. The coverage provided by my employer clearly states no coverage for plastic surgery except in the case of breast cancer and reconstructive surgery.

Good luck and I hope you can get insurance coverage for any procedures.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
