Ok I'm ready. I am finally registered and I'm sitting in the waiting room holding my little slip of paper that says I'm number 10.

Surgeries start at 7:30 and mine will be the 3rd one sooo I'm gonna be here awhile I think. I can take a good amount of pain so hopefully it won't be too bad. ..... Any words of wisdom?

Yes!!! The pain will be 10 times less than you expect!!! Relax. The unknown is what is scary. I am 67 and used 1 dose of pain medicine at home. I was in the grocery store 4 days after surgery, and I was shopping 2 hours, 2 weeks after surgery. I have not slowed down since. I have so much energy and finally out of the chair I had slumped in for the past year. Loving life again!!!!! Best wishes!!!! First day of the best of your life lol!

Good luck, you will be fine. Everyone is different when it comes to pain. I was in sooo much pain afterwards but by day six I stop my pain meds. Keep your eyes on the bigger picture...better life, and a healthier you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
