Seven days post op and dreaming about food

Recommended Posts

Seven days out, pain mostly gone although it was much more than I expected. On the liquid diet for two more weeks and can't stop thinking about eating real food. I'm even dreaming about eating food. Does this get better?!?! I know it especially hard with it being Christmas and all, but Soup and Protein Drinks are making me crazy. 5'4" 31y/o SW 320 CW 302

I'm also 7 days out and don't know if it ever will. I am also struggling with breaking down and eating an scrambled egg. I WANT food. I'm so sick and tired of this Water, SF Popsicle and Jello. I have 1 & 1/2 week on Stage 1 (clear liquid) and 2 weeks after that (Stage 2, full liquids) Hell, I'm excited about stage two...lol

But hang in there, we'll be able to eat sooner than later

I dream about food too and get sad thinking about how I may not be able to tolerate my faves for a long while

I'm 16 days post op and feeling super weak --- hard to get in fluids and Protein due to hernia pain in chest and was in the ER on day 11 due to dehydration

I'm 31 and 5'7" --- surgery weight was around 236 and current weight around 217

Oh no! I'm super worried about this. My surgery is scheduled for Jan 19th. What's the eating plan after that? I have learned a lot but don't know what to expect exactly. I meet with the nutritionist on the 14th to discuss diet post op. What can I expect?!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
