My surgery is 36 hours away!!!! Any and every emotion that you can imagine is how I'm feeling. My only fear is the actual procedure, which seems to be most folks fear. But, I know this opportunity is a gift from God and I refuse to allow fear to steal from me! That has happened long enough. Because of my size, my life has been filled with challenges! I started at 269 and am down to 245. Once, a few years ago, my son and I were talking about amusement park rides and he asked, with such surprise, "you can get on rides?" I WASNT EXPECTING THAT!!! I said, "yeah....why did you ask that?", and he replied, "I didn't know you could get on the rides." He instantly realized what he said and kept saying, "never mind!" I asked him if he thought I was fat....he was silent! I said, "it's okay....I think I am too!" We never talked about it again and I haven't been to an amusement since. Tomorrow, I will be rewriting my future!!! Not only will I be on the rides next summer, but I'm getting a seasons pass!!!!! I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO BEING ON THIS RIDE FOREVER!!!! Hey guys hope every in days has been great. Sorry i had connectivity issues but I'm red hot and rolling now. I will send list to everyone that requested it and send me your as well. Saw my Bariatrician today and my surgeon is REQUIRING me to have a sleep study even though my insurance company don't require it but it's cool.

So did I!!! I was like "poor me. No one to help me. Maybe I'll get a long wooden spoon for my bathroom buddy and if I can't bend, well.... You get the idea"

Yesssss the thought is pretty funny

Okay everyone....if your stay in the hospital is as quick as mine was (surgery on Wednesday eve/home Thursday afternoon), which I'm sure it will be ....this is what you'll need: comfy clothes (I wore sweats with an elastic waist), slippers and robe, comfy pillow (if you choose....I didn't), toothbrush and paste, Chapstick, electronics and chargers. I didn't have time for anything else as my stay was VERY short! I didn't even walk, except to go to the potty. I had NO incision pain but tons of gas pain. I didn't use Gas-X til I got home but it didn't work. I had CRAZY nausea. The night of surgery, I was able to sleep on my side and have been sleeping normal since!

What is sleeping normal? I am tummy sleeper and afraid that I am gonna end up hurting myself during the night. Surgery is Wednesday

I am a tummy sleeper as well and I think I was back to tummy sleeping right away. I did use my Percocet and Tylenol for a few days but I probably could've gotten away with only using the Tylenol....8)
