i was just finishing up mine during my surgery..i got to wear a cute pair of panties and a pad....just messing...i told the dr and he said not to worry....he had seen it all...gosh, i am afraid of what he did see (thank heavens i was asleep) :)

I was on mine..surgery went as planned..and I had a cathiter for my first 48 hours in the hospital

I had my period and I shaved first....and I had on black panties firmly fitting indicating do not touch. I hope you all are sitting down! I put a sticky note that's said "do not remove!" No one mentioned it after but I'm sure they laughed.....I did so hard when I thought about it. That must of eased the OR.

Hahaha while utterly hilarious I would caution others not to do the same. If you had swelling during the surgery it could cut off the circulation in your legs. They would likely cut them off but it could cause damage before they figured it out.

Some ppl have a period after the surgery. Had mine like normal 2 weeks before surgery then started again 3 days after surgery. Be prepared ladies!

Got mine a few days after surgery, one week early.

I'm being sleeved next Wednesday and was getting concerned about it coming on time. Started on Monday so I'm all good!

I had my period during my surgery and it had absolutely No bearing on the surgery at all!!!! I was home in two days :D

Not to worry.....I had my gallbladder out years ago....my period stopped the day before, but during surgery it had started with a vengence.......they were used to it......didn't even blink an eye......it shouldn't have any effect on your surgery.....good luck.

I was on my period during surgery. They made me take everything off except a hospital gown. They did lay some kind of thing underneath me, but still no pad or panties. It was not fun.
