Any February 2014 Sleevers?

I'm scheduled for 2/6/14. Who else is getting sleeved in February?

Is anyone experiencing difficulty eating still? It's been 6 months, my bloodwork looks good the endoscopy showed everything A-ok. The Dr. says I just have to keep taking omeprazole. Other than that, I'm supposedly good. BUT I just can't eat. If I eat too much of anything which for me too much is 3 spoonfuls of cottage cheese rather than one, I get so sick like I did in the very beginning. I know having the surgery is supposed to limit eating, but I've superseded my goal, I'm very thin I'm a size 4, I can't seem to put weight on or stop losing, it's because I still can't eat hardly anything. I'm lucky to get in 500 calories and that's if I eat chips or fries. It's like I'm scared to eat so I don't get deathly sick, but want and need to eat to have energy and function and not lose anymore weight. Also the burping, gurgling, sneezing, hic-upping is annoying it makes me miserable when I eat hardly anything. Anyone else still having this problem? Does it ever get better? Maybe after a year?[/quote

I feel the same way!! No appetite or desire to eat most days. I could live off diet coke and Water. I know my biggest problem is just slowing down and really planning meals. I'm working with my therapist about that sort of discipline so that I do get the nutrition cause my hair loss/thinning and energy have just been extremely low! I hope it does get better though, just a LONG learning process!

I had the sleeve on 2-18-14 and including pre-op loss, I am down 113 lbs. lately. I feel like my teeth feel bigger against my inner lips/gums. Even my mother said it looks like I am holding my mouth like when I had braces many many years ago. Has anyone else dealt with this strange sensation?

Yay SJ!

Yeah! So excited. It's so nice to have a crush on someone who has one back. Haha. ♡

Wow I've not been on here for a long while. I'm down 75 lbs in 6 months. It's amazing. I am though feeling very normal. Nothing makes me sick and the scary part is I'm becoming very relaxed in my eating. Work is stressful and I'm eating through it and the OT I'm putting in is taking away from my workouts. I'm struggling sticking to plan. I'm not gaining but not loosing like I could or should be. I guess I need to reconnect with you all and start to focus on this like I had to right after surgery. Prayers would be appreciated.

Hi everyone! Just over 6 months out and 76 lbs lost! Also, I had my nurse do a waist measurement a few days ago. I've lost 9 inches from my waist! There are no foods I can't tolerate, but I do feel my restriction. My weight loss had been very slow recently, but I know why. I haven't been working out as much lately. I've started a Bachelor's program and have been studying a lot. I am getting T25 this week and will be starting that 4 days a week. I had my gallbladder removed yesterday. The surgeon said that it was much worse that the ultrasound showed. Recovery has been a breeze so far and I didn't have to stay the night at the hospital. Just 9 more days until I can start T25 and I can't wait! Cwang, don't be discouraged! Lets find a way to get over this hump and get to 100 lbs lost! We can do it!

I totally understand you! I'm down 91lbs, at 197, stuck there for 2 months now. I've been dealing with some stressful situations at work and family situations and to add to it, I just found out on Wednesday that I have a large tumor in my thyroid and it's possibly cancer. I've skipped meals, ate bad meals, munched on candy...I'm way off track. I haven't gained, but like you said I'm not losing and I know I could be. I'm just having a hard time balancing my life right now. I'm gonna go back this week and read my gastric sleeve book from the hospital about what I should be eating and maybe it will help me get back on track. I'm Traveling all week for work and then hopefully I will get test results back by Friday.

Yay! Great work girl!
