  6. I hit Onderland today! 199.5! Took forever, but it finally happened. I'm officially down 94.5 lbs. Only a few more to go before my next goal of losing 100 pounds. My hair is falling out like crazy. It's so hard to see that happening, but I'm hoping that if I kick up my water and vitamin intake, that it'll slow down. How's everyone else doing?
  7. I thought I wasn't losing a lot if hair either until today. Today I lost a huge clump in the shower. I'm starting to get nervous about it. My surgeon's office said the only way to combat it is to try to reach your Protein goals and take your Vitamins. I've also started using two different shampoos. One is by L'Oreal. It's called Everstrong. It's a low sulfate thickening shampoo. And the other one is a Biotin & collagen shampoo. I can't think of the name of it, but it's a purple and gold bottle. You can get them both at Walgreens, Walmart or Target. And Niko, I can see a huge difference in your pictures! You look great!
  8. What's been helpful for me is that my postop diet is basically low carb. I don't want to knock myself put of ketosis, so that's what's helping me stay on track.

  10. It was okay. I had had one before, so I knew what to expect. I had mine done at silver cross as well. They basically ask you questions. Then they hook you up with some wires. You sleep. They monitor you. They see how many times per hour you stop breathing while you're sleeping. I didn't have to be woken up to have the CPAP put on me, so I don't know what that's like. I had a very mild case of sleep apnea, so I didn't end up needing the CPAP at home.
  11. I'm from the Chicago burbs. Had the sleeve done 2/17/14 at Silver Cross. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have.
  12. So sorry to hear this, LeighAnne. You're both in my thoughts and prayers.
  13. I'm in the south suburbs. Had my sleeve done February 17th by the wonderful Dr. Lahmann at Silver Cross Hospital . Loving my results so far. Would love to meet up sometime, but this Saturday is already crammed for me. Please let me know of any upcoming dates.

  15. Same here. I used to have tons of energy postop, but I have been dragging ass. I sometimes feel myself nodding off at work. No bueno.
  16. Me too. Have been on a stall for 2 weeks now. Ugh

  18. I'm also in Chicagoland. I have 24s, 22s, 20s. Hoping to be out of 18s soon. I have tops ranging from 3X to XL now. I'd be totally interested in an exchange.

  22. Yes, and I was as shocked as you are! It didn't affect my restriction at all cuz I can only eat 2.5-3 oz max.
  23. I've had alcohol. I talked to my surgeon and he suggested rum and diet coke. I'm following a low-carb plan, so he recommended it over a glass of wine for me. I felt the effects of it quicker than before surgery. And I felt really dehydrated and crappy the day after. But I probably overdid it that night too.
