Hi there. There are a bunch of people on here from Chicago. I am in arlington heights. Getting my sleeve in Monday. Happy to help with any questions you have.

I am getting the Gastic Sleeve done at Slver Cross at New Lenox on June 17.

How was the sleep study?

It was okay. I had had one before, so I knew what to expect. I had mine done at silver cross as well. They basically ask you questions. Then they hook you up with some wires. You sleep. They monitor you. They see how many times per hour you stop breathing while you're sleeping. I didn't have to be woken up to have the CPAP put on me, so I don't know what that's like. I had a very mild case of sleep apnea, so I didn't end up needing the CPAP at home.

I had my sleeve at Little Company of Mary in Evergreen Park on August 01, 2013. Try using Protein shakes, powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury is a really good one. It doesn't have an after taste like Muscle milk and the othes. go to www.unjury.com.

I didn't have a problem with Muscle Milk pre-op but couldn't stomach it post-op. I just started unjury and am doing great with the unflavored and the strawberry flavored powders.

Getting my sleeve in August. I was on a 6 month Dr. supervised diet with my regular Dr. which he tried me on diet pills and exercise and watching what I ate with a food diary, kept track of my weight and Id go in every month. I also had a sleep study done. It was easy, but I felt like I didn't sleep a wink--LOL! Good luck to you! :)
