Trouble Getting Enough Calorise In?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am 6 weeks post op and I am unsure on whether I am getting enough calories on a daily basis.

I usually have:

meal #1 - 1 cup of oatmeal, 120 cal

meal #2 - 6oz. yoplait light yogurt, 90 cal

meal #3 - 4oz. del monte peaches, 60 cal

meal #4 - 1/3 cup deli sliced turnkey, 150 cal

meal #5 - 4oz. filet of salmon, 150 cal

under 600 calories on a heavy eating day.

All liquids are Water, I am not doing any Protein Drinks at this time. (is this my answer?)

I am at that stage where I can start exercising again and the last thing I want to do is pass out in the gym.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

misspelled calories, that's embarrassing!

Are you counting Protein grams and meeting your goal there? I am eating about the same menu as you (except for salmon (not one of my fav's) but I usually have 2 Premier Protein drinks and am hitting between 700 & 800 calories.

At 6 weeks out I wouldn't be eating the peaches and oatmeal. You really need to be focusing on your Protein intake. I agree to try having a Protein Drink for Breakfast instead.

Thanks for your input.

Why no oatmeal or peaches?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
