The waiting game is the worst....

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm Jill and I'm new here. I have completed all my requirements for the sleeve, but it's been a long emotional road to say the least.

I started with the requirements in August of last year. Everything was going fine with my appointments until the surgeon's office submitted my packet to United Health care before it was completed. Needless to say I was denied. Now I have BCBS insurance and a new surgeon! I'm just waiting to hear if I was approved and get my date!! I was told sometime in December. I'm so anxious I can't wait!! I am so ready for this that I approved by ready started my pre op diet and I'm down 11 lbs!

Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself. :)

Good luck. I have a bc/bs plan and my approval was very smooth. First appt in late July, approved late August, surgery in September.

Thanks! I have heard that it's easier to get an approval through BCBS than UHC so I'm happy about that! I think I will get approved since I have a bmi of 50 and high blood pressure, but you never know!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
