3rd week for me. Each stage - Clear Liquids, full liquids, puree, full foods - was one week each.

Every surgeon has a different plan for his patients. It's interesting to see the diversity of how doctors vary. A lot of it comes down to liability though. Best of luck everyone!

I know everyone's diet guidelines tends to vary so just curious. How long before you transitioned to the pureed stage?

I was a week after surgery. I have to go to my dr and the nut before every step

Likewise, in the hospital the day after surgery - purees and soft foods including things like scrambled eggs, yogurt, cream of wheat, etc.

Much of it also comes down to how much sleeve experience the doc has - you have an old line DS surgeon like my doc (which means that they have been doing sleeves for a long time), and from what I have seen, they all tend to have more aggressive food progressions than those who are fairly new to the sleeve, even if those docs are long experienced with the RNY.

Did Pomp have you do an extensive pre-op diet? That's another area where the old line DS docs seem to be less inclined to do them than the RNY guys.

3 days. I had surgery on a tuesday morning, and the saturday night beforehand I had a steak and bottle of red wine, and then got drunk at a beer-pong tournament my friend hosted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
