Hey,

Looking for others in or around CT for support. I am in the early stages. My first appointment with NUT was last month. I have my second of six next week.

Welcome...I am new too. Have had a couple of NUT visits and met with the surgeon and the bariatric medial doctor. Have my psych eval tomorrow and my visit w/ the neurologist/sleep center next week. Things are moving along but my insurance requires 6months (and at least 4 visits) with the NUT so we can't even submit for approval until March. I'm not in CT but I live in Mass on the CT border, near Enfield/Sommers. Good Luck!!

That is great. My insurance requires six months as well so I am looking at March for the approval and around April for the date for the surgery. I am hoping everything goes well the next few months. I am trying to do things in steps without overwhelming myself. I am calling a therapist tomorrow to schedule. I am likely to want the added support so I am going to continue throughout this process.

Good Luck with the process as well!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
