  3. I don't know anything about Special K Protein Water (just watch the sugar, I know their shakes are loaded) but when I was first post op (and even now) I liked/like drinking Isoure protein water. It is similar to Gatorade in the sense that it comes in different flavors and the taste is similar but it is high protein, low sugar. I actually will drink 1/2 a bottle a day and cut it w/ G2 (half Isopure and 1/2 G2). Good luck!

  8. smoking stimulates your gastric secretions which in turn could affect your band and possibly cause erosion.
  9. Do you have a history of blood clotting disorders, AFIB or are you bedbound/immobile? 30 days seems quite long for someone without any history or pre-existing medical conditions....
  10. how about Isopure clear liquid drinks. come in a variety of flavors. I drink 1/2 of one every day since my surgery for extra Protein. NO IDEA what the ingredient are, just know they are loaded w/ protein.

  12. My surgeon did not require this
  13. After having a Sleeve you won't have to live without carbs....everything in moderation once your healed. Some people can tolerate a larger variety of foods than others, really depends on the person. Good Luck with your decision

  19. I am 3 weeks post op and just had my first episode of vomiting today, due to a GI bug that is plaguing out home. Nasty!! I felt a lot of pain in my mid chest between my breasts when vomiting. It stopped hurting when I was done, I don't think I hurt anything. Anyone have any experience with this unfortunate event...???
  20. My surgery was 3/4. I am loosing a pound per day. I am not eating or drinking enough for sure. I'm trying...
  21. A lot of people are turned off by the Isopure because of the taste/after taste. Someone here recommended halfing it w G2 which is fantastic. I drink 10oz everyday now to get my protein in.
  22. This is my plan for tonite!!! Family will be over is 1/2 hr for pizza.
  23. I had surgery the same day u did. I came home from the hospital weighing 16lbs more than I did the day of surgery due to all the IV fluids. I was 236 DOS, 252 day of hospital d/c and at 2 wks out I am 221. I have been on liquid diet w some puréed food but I really haven't eaten much. I am really struggling to get my protein and fluids in so congrats to u!!!! The one thing that struck me about what u wrote is all the exercise u are doing. I haven't even been cleared to exercise yet, see my surgeon Wednesday for 2 wk postop. Just today I went to the gym for the first time and just walked the treadmill at 2.5 for 30 min. Just be careful and I'm wondering if the extra exercise and few calories being taken in could actually be working against u. Well I wish u only the best of luck! This sure is a bit of a challenge to figure out, isn't it!!???

  25. What flavors did u mix? No I haven't tried miralax but I will this week! I have tried 3 different flavors of Isopure, but there are a total of 6-8 flavors. There is Grape Frost which I halfed w/ Grape G2, a red one that is like fruit punch that I halfed w/ Fruit Punch G2 and a yellow one (Pineapple/Orange/Banana) which I also mixed w/ fruit punch G2 ( I would have used orange or lemon/lime had I had some). I can't even tell you how much it improves the taste. The Isopure bottles are 20oz total so one bottle lasts me two days, I take 10oz of Isopure and 10oz of G2 and mix in a large water bottle and sip all day long, just keep adding ice. Hope this helps!
  26. I'm a registered nurse and my job is very physical and I am on my feet non stop. I am off for 5 weeks post op. Good Luck
