November fitness challenge

Hey fitness freaks....and wannabe freaks. Time for the November installment of the fitness challenge. To try to be more inclusive and get more participation, I'm going to open things up in a new way.

The point of this challenge is to set a goal for yourself for the month of November. A fitness goal which will be challenging.....slightly more than you know you can do, more than you did last month. The goal needs to be a concrete measurable goal. The goal can be miles run, walked, biked, swam, ellipted or paddled....or a combination of all of them. But it can also be a goal of hours of exercise. 30 hours of exercise in a month is a challenging goal for many people. It can also be a specific exercise if you prefer....like 3000 squats and 1000 push-ups. Whatever it is, make it challenging, not easy. As I always say, growth and comfort cannot coexist. You want to be slightly uncomfortable. The goal should challenge you...make you slightly nervous as to whether or not you can reach it. Then....GO FOR IT!

Introduce yourself and spell out your goal for the month. Then come back here everyday or as often as you can and update the group as to your current progress toward your goal. Whether or not you make your goal is not the point. The point is to push yourself just a little further than you thought you could go.

I'll start. I'm only 4 weeks post op from my TT so not back to 100% yet, but I anticipate getting stronger as the month goes on. So my goal for November is to walk/run 60 miles. That's double what I'm going to do this month, so a challenging goal. Wish me luck.

Please join in and get moving.

Heading into the big holiday week at 153.26...

Really need to keep myself in check the next 5 days!!!

Well, finally made it over 100. 100.75 MTD. Not my best effort so far but it's an effort and that's what it's all about!!!

Another 4miles today holding steady, MTD-96 miles 11 sessions

Hope every one has a great Thanksgiving and may all our "calories" melt away!!!

For all my fitness friends:

Tomorrow is workout number 4 for the week. Jogged Monday and Wednesday, worked out with trainer on Tuesday. She's dedicated so were still working out tomorrow morning and Saturday.

I haven't kept a tally of miles walked/biked but I have walked...I suppose next month I need to say how many hours I will walk instead of miles :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have not logged any exercise the past five days due to a flare up of sciatica. I will attempt to finish this month strong

over the last couple days.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Enjoy this wonderful day and give thanks for our many blessings in life!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you:)

Good job everyone. You all are killing it.....so today will not detail you no matter what. Make sensible decisions today, and whatever little treats you enjoy, don't feel bad about them cause tomorrow you will burn then right back off.

Me and missus butter got a jump start and ran a 5 mike turkey trot. Then proceeded to eat most of it back in the form of fresh hot finish line pancakes. Damn then pancakes. They just shoved a plate in my hand....I couldn't say no. :)

Did my own personal Turkey Trot 10K today! Second 10K this week and I feel awesome! Been on a cruise since Saturday and I have lost 4 pounds!!

Totals so far this month:

Run: 40.9 (Goal 40)

Walk: 76.7 (Goal 50)

Bike: 15 (Goal 30)

Total: 132.6

Hoping to meet my biking goals this weekend.

5 miles today, in between, a battle with a drumstick! Monthly total 95. I just might make 100!!
