I'm curious as well to what your diet is like? How are your carbs? I try to keep them as low as possible and the Protein high.

Don't regret your surgery. You did it for you. No matter what we, we are going to have to work hard to reach our goals. Weight gain could be anything, maybe your holding on to Water? Drinking enough Water? Hang in there you will soon start dropping those pounds!

I'm on purées I usually have a Protein shake in the morning Water all day or diet snapple ice tea throughout the day I have apple sauce light fit yogurt dinner chicken spinach blended

Purée stage....your probably retaining Water. Your body is healing. Focus on healing and try not to worry. During my early stages I read up on nutrition, focused on what I would be eating once I could eat again.

I'm a little over 3 weeks out I too gained back 4 lbs but I expected to we are eating more variety of food then when we was on liquids. I this week lost the 4 lbs gained. Don't worry you will lose it again. Just keep your head up.

You really gave me a lil hope being that you have already been thru the first stages I will hang in there I mean if I was on a regular diet no surgery I would have to cut back on eattjng and have Portion Control and exercise and that too would take time and the surgery itself is already restricting my food intake which is the portion control part so I have faith that sooner or later I will have to loose weight so I have to continue do follow docs orders and be patient

It could just be you retaining some Water. Normal. Watch your salt in take. Could also be time of the month? Be patient, before you know it you'll be where I am, 1 year post op and 100lbs lighter! Trust me, it will be fine as long as you keep it high Protein

I did the same on week 3 I went up 5 lbs stayed that way until week 5 and then I lost it and more. I have ready many post on here of the same thing it's just your body adjusting. Relax don't worry it will come back off. I totally understand I was freaking and thinking the same.

It's not good to weigh everyday. It's best to weigh once a week/two weeks.

Body weight fluncuates, and even more so when you start introducing more foods.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
