I really, really want the Vitamix, too! I'm mesmerized by it every weekend at Costco....I'm debating on whether or not I would get the good out of it. I am probably NEVER eating kale, but I would drink it :)

Ninja leaves chunks. Especially with ice and more fibrous things. I have been drinking shakes for years. I just ordered the blendtec - competition with vitamix. I didn't want any chance of chunks after surgery. It is phenomenal.

What version of the ninja do you have? I have never had any problems with it leaving chunks before- it pulverizes/ liquifies everything I throw at it. There are different models' date=' maybe we own different ones?

I have both the vitamix and the bullet. I prefer my bullet to liquefy my juices/greens. So much easier to clean up. You add Water to greens to luiqify. My vitamix is better for my Soups.< /p>

I have been thinking about upping my natural intake of micronutrients by increasing kale' date=' other greens, other veggies etc in some sort of Protein drink concoction. sounds gross, but I cant think of a better way to get all that good stuff without popping supplement pills - i want real foodsources. Those vitamixes are pricey. I own a magic bullet, not sure how well it cando the job I will test it. Curious if there are others who do this and what type of device is needed.[/quote']

I own a Vitamix and love it!! It's great for thick frosty like shakes, almond butter,. It liquified fruit and veggies. Great customer service and 7 yr war twenty;)

Nobody has mentioned clean up' date=' how big a hassle is clean up with the vitamix vs the ninja vs the magic bullet etc.?[/quote']

The vitamix is so easy to clean! You as a few drops of liquid dish soap, fill half full with hot Water them turn it on for about 30-45 seconds then rinse.

I have the torpedo, works really well, blends, pulverizes just like vitamix. Easy to clean, also comes with a strainer in case you don't want pulp.

I have a blendtec(similar to vitamin) and it's amazing. Huge difference between a ninja, magic bullet and a regular blender (I have them all!). I would recommend spending the money on the quality product. Clean up is best with a blendtec. No blade. It works with cylindrical force!

It's not a traditional blade. Not sharp at all. It can juice, mince, smoothies and frozen yogurt! I have even made rice flour using black rice. It's very powerful. I juice veggies all the time, no pulp.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
