What pre op diet are you on or going to start?

Recommended Posts

My 10 day pre-op diet started yesterday. I can have up to six Protein shakes, sugar free Jello, sugar free Popsicles, broth, and Water. My surgery is next week Wednesday the 16th.

So far I actually haven't been hungry, thank God. I thought I was going to feel starved. However, I haven't actually been around food so that could change.

I can have 3 Protein Shakes and two yogurts. A bit hungry but it's doable. I suspect that the last two days will be rough with only Clear Liquids, no Protein. Definitely losing though!

What can you eat or drink on your pre op diet
I could have Protein Shakes and cream Soups yogurt........ I also had 5 of the best French fries ever made at day 10 of 14 LOL but that's not recommended.

I had Protein Shakes, Water and chicken broth... I also brought the Atkins shakes I hate the French Vanilla but those shakes made me forget I was hungry some days and it takes me longer to drink those because the suck but they make me feel full quick.....surgery on Wednesday!

The Atkins shakes I don't like I freeze for a few hours and then eat as ice cream. They're very good that way.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
