I hope you're feeling better! I feel your pain. I had a leak and infection 2 weeks after surgery. Be sure they checked you for those too. My surgery was July 29th and I'm doing much better now!

I am 6 weeks out with no problems at all. I feel very lucky. My wife got her sleeve about 15 months ago. Her first year was a nightmare.. stricture, gall stones... allergic to whey Protein, could not eat animal protein. She ended up having to go vegan for almost the whole first year. Now, her stomach is completely healed. she can eat almost anything and could not be happier. There is a light at the end of the tunnel..sometimes you just need to crawl through a world of crap to get there. Hang in there!

Luckyqueenbee, even though this is not an advice site, more of a support site, never sit at home and wonder what you should be doing or if something is 'ok' or normal. Call you Dr because that's what they got paid for- to be there for you, handle your concerns and to answer any major questions you have. They should have expressed that repeatedly before you left their service which I hope they did. Even if you feel like you are bugging them it doesn't matter. It's better for you to call them a million times for something minor than to sit a home even half a day with something major going on. No one on here can diagnose or figure out what's up with you especially not knowing your health history. No 2 patients are the same.

I hope you feel better.

Well here is an update I have been admitted four days now done an xray with barium showed the barium went down okay, had a ct came back normal, and did another endoscopy which came back okay last thing I did was a abdominal sonogram which shows my gallbladder full of sludge and gallstones so im doing another surgery take out the gallbladder and to physically look at the scar tissue on the sleeve. I heard that loosing to much weight can cause the gallbladder to get stones I dont know if thats true

Yes, I've heard that too. Good luck with the surgery. Keep us posted! I had my gallbladder removed years ago. Stones run in my family. It's a piece of cake surgery compared to the sleeve!

Yes it can. My doc puts people on gallbladder meds after surgery just to prevent it because it's so common. Mine was taken out with my sleeve because it was really making me sick. I feel so much better now!

Glad that at least they found an issue and can deal with. If it's gall stones, my good friend had them and they caused a blockage that made her very sick! Glad that you chose to go to the hospital & best of luck to you!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
