Worried, about a prolapse

Recommended Posts

Was banded May 9,2013. Got my first fill 4 weeks later. I did great until my 3rd fill in Aug. I was a little too tight and having reflux pretty bad and wasn't able to get my food down. So went to the dr and had some Fluid removed and immediately began to feel better, then about two weeks after that I got an awful stomach virus and was terribly sick for over a week. During this time I had more fluid removed to give my stomach a chance to heal and settle down from the virus and throwing up so much. We'll that was five weeks ago. I just went in today for an adjustment. I had gained 3 lbs, which didn't really surprise me since I lost almost 10 lbs in 6 days while I was sick. But today I was told I have a prolapse. I've got to go back in 4 weeks from today. If it doesn't look better then all of the fluid must be removed, wait another 6 weeks and check to see if it is any better, if not I will have to have surgery to reposition the band. Has anyone else had any problem like this?

Here is a good Site to Check and Read about prolapse's I would be concerned as to WHY? it occurred so EARLY in your banding ..Good Questions to ask your Doctor. GOOD LUCK! Please keep us posted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
