How much Protein and water does everyone drink daily?

Recommended Posts

I have been banded since 8/15/13 and have lost 53 lbs. so far. But for the past 2 weeks, I haven't lost any weight at all. I am having a hard time getting in allot of Protein and not as many ounces of Water as I should. Any suggestions how to increase both??? What does everyone else do? How many ounces of water and grams of protein does your DR/NUT recommended daily?

Water is recommended 64oz a day. I honestly don't measure Water, I just constantly sip on it all day long.

Protein is your weight times .3 for daily grams. So yours would be 322 x .3= 96.6 grams of Protein for a daily minimum.

My nutritionist said at least 64 oz of Water. But I sip all day long so I don't get bloated.

I consume about 80grams of Protein. But, I am still on the liquid diet. Talk to your NUT and see what he/she says.

I find the Water drinking is the hardest thing for me. Not because I can't get it in..but because I'm not. I'm going to try the sipping thing through out the day to see if that helps me more.

By the end of the day I realize I haven't had enough, and I'm actually thirsty so I start drinking but it's almost time to sleep...and well it's not good if you actually want to get some sleep :o

my doctor wants 60 grams of Protein whether it be by food or Protein Drinks. i usually consume 90-100 grams of protein because i need that Protein Drink at night to keep me from snacking all night long. it is a appetite control thing for me. i keep a food diary and keep a tally on protein and calories.

i have a 32 oz container that i keep full all day and night. and yes i have to pee during the night. but i am a drinker and don't have a problem drinking fluids.

Not nearly as much as I should. Old habits die very hard I guess. While my eating has gone from 100% before the band to maybe 30% that liquid and Protein intake I should be working on is minimal.

I could tell you how much I should have though, if that counts for anything.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
