Humana?

Recommended Posts

I have Humana PPO. I can't find anything about LPS in my benefit booklet or on the website. I will call tomorrow, but I really don't want to tip them off until I am better prepared. Has anyone ever dealt with Humana? I appreciate any advice.

Not quite sure what you mean about tipping them off. An insurance policy is a contract between you and the insurance company.

If a procedure is a covered benefit then they have to provide it if you meet their requirements.

Give them a call. Everyone's policy is potentially different. So your policy with that payor may be different than someone elses, which is why you need to call yourself.

Good luck!

Dana- you could also find a surgeon you would like to use and ask them about the insurances. This will be specific to your area. Also try getting a Humana care provider book and find something to start your research if you don't know of a Dr.

Dana, Did you ever contact Humana about LP surgery? If so, what did they say? I also have Humana PPO and have been getting the run around from them.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
