Do you drink before your meals?

Recommended Posts

I grew up drinking during meals, early on, when I got the band, I tried forcing food down at Applebees by drinking, gigantic mistake, and now I drink before I eat then wait the suggested 30 minutes. Nothing less, sometimes I forget when I last ate so I'll wait 30 minutes from when I feel thirsty, for safety's sake.

I have never not drank before during or after. I know I'm a rebel! But successful.

My son went to Big Blue Madness last night!

I during right up to my meal sometimes. I try to wait 10 minutes usually. 45 minutes wait time after. If I drink too early, I find I am hungry a little faster.......not good at all!

I do sip but very little as i eat. It helps me slide down thr food easier. My surrgeon believes in 30 minutes before and after eating, but in discussing with him after my 6 month blood tests (results were all excellent) that its okay to sip small amounts.

Every surgeon is different and I usually drink hot coffee prior to Breakfast, then a very small Breakfast (oatmeal, raisins, chopped nuts) and about 4 oz of milk after meal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
