K, so after a very bad period of time in which i had to have the Fluid removed due to it being too tight, I have reached a point in which I cannot get back to where I was. I had lost roughly 70lbs. And was doing great, felt great, and was starting to look great. I went in for a routine upper g.i and the barium I drank dripped through like an I.v. So they said they wanted to remove half and then see why happens. Well what happened was I now weigh more than I did before the surgery, I am so disgusted with myself it's unreal. I work out, I thought I was eating better, I even tried the joe cross reboot program. Lost 10, gained 15. So I pretty much have up. But after realizing that I need to fix things not just for me but for my family, I am back ! I had a full today, I am at 8 cc on a 10 cc band. I was at 7.5 and felt absolutely no restriction. So I'm hoping this helps. My hardest part is I don't have a lot of money, and I'm not sure what foods to eat for breakfast, lunch, and I work in a prison so it's hard to eat a lot so I'm wondering what exactly do you guys eat and how much for lunch breakfast and dinner. I need help and remember I'm low on funds. I have unlimited eggs due to my chicken lol

Hey man welcome back. Number one thing to do is stay connected on here. Great group of people here that will help you through anything. Second most important is get back on your shakes. Third most important, do whatever these women on here tell you. They are much smarter than me. Good luck to you

5.0 thank you for acknowleging the unknown.... lol

Cj focus on Protein first. Pack your lunch for work. A can of tuna is full of Protein and only 100 calories. It fills me up every time.

I eat a high protein low carb diet and it has worked so far.

You don't need a lot of funds to eat right, you just need to plan and shop for it.

Good luck to you, and welcome back.

Ok so a typical day.....? I really need a fresh look.

Breakfast, snack, lunch dinner, ? You put anything with tuna ? I'm thinking boiled egg or two for breakfast, yogurt for snack, can of tuna lunch, apple snack, and a piece of grilled chicken for dinner ? What y'all eat on a daily ? Thanks for the info it helps tremendously. My insurance won't pay for nutritionist no more

I mix a can of tune with 2 tablespoons of relish (about 40 calories) and sometimes a little mayo. It fills me up every time.Or I put it on a salad with a tablespoon of light ranch dressing.

I have eggs almost every morning for breakfast, scrambled with 2 oz of turkey spam.

Dinner is 4oz of lean meat (chicken breast, turkey burger, tilapia, or samon) and a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of veggies.

I eat a high Protein, low carb diet. It has worked for me for almost 2 years now. I don't miss the carbs anymore.. But that is just me, you will find other successful bandsters who eat carbs and have lost bunches too.

Find a plan that works for you. As for budget, it takes more time to plan and prepare your meals at home, but it is a lot cheaper than eating out and in the long run a lot better!!!

Hi there, pre-band and no advice for you but glad you are back -- that's the main thing, the commitment and acknowledgement of the need of a fresh start. Since I'm waiting for surgery and still obsessed with food, I've been trying to think up band-friendly foods for the future. People recommend chili a lot -- that's fun to make and can be very inexpensive, high Protein, etc. Say hi to the chickens!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
