I am still in pain. Did any if you go thru this? I went back to work on Monday..and sitting is horrible. I think I am scrunched in the chair... so when I get home I have to lay straight flat with an ice pack on my tummy.. for a while. I still cant reach or bend down. I honestly didn't know recovery would be like this ..oh am eating I am not even sure if I am doing to less too much..

This week I would have

Yogurt (breakfast)

Protein Shake (lunch)

& I will may boil 2 soft eggs (dinner) or a can of cream Soup

I will drink Water all day.. I can get maybe 2 bottles a day down.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF I AM ON TRACK... IS WHAT I AM DOING NORMAL. ..TOO MUCH ...TOO LESS. I feel lost... and honestly getting depressed. ..thanks ..TC

Sounds like you are right on track to me... You can still have ad Jello, pudding, or Popsicles if you want. I wouldn't say I had pain 19 days out but def uncomfortableness.... At about 4 wls out I started to feel half normal and at about 6 wks out I started to get more energy back and the depression began to go away when I had more energy. Rest as much as you can! It will help!

There def will be frustrating times but I can assure you it's not fat you're gaining. Your body is in starvation mode and you are prob retaining Water. The body will do what it needs to to heal itself. Once it heals and no longer feels starved the weight will start to drop off! Two months from now you will

Look back and see that this is the beginning stages! And all the beginning fiasco will be over!

Hi 123... I am better..still not 100% but I am moving around faster and not wincing everytime I get up. Still not comfortable sitting at my desk but I am adjusting and I am taking a half of pain pill at work so it is helping me. ... tomorrow will be a month out.... I am about 20 pounds down but do not feel it much... still stuck on 2 bottle waters and maybe 40 grams of Protein. .but trying every day..

Good job! That's about where I was then too! I think you'll feel way better in about two weeks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
