My doc made me do 3days Clear Liquids, then 2 weeks of full liquids (protein shakes an liquids), then I can start 3weeks of puréed foods, 3 weeks of soft foods then solid foods. It's a very conservative approach by I'm glad because it's gentle on the pouch and I've had zero problems so far......of course I'm still in the full liquid stage

That is exactly what I have to do too!

I understand how you feel. I had a two week stall starting on my 3rd week. I just started losing again. I have lost 19 lbs since 10-8-13. Hang in there.

I had a stall at week 3 and I haven't lost a pound in 5 days now.. Frustrating, but it'll come off, just give it time..

I'm still at a stall too. And I'm tired of being hungry. Drove by McDonalds a few minutes ago and I've been crying ever since. :(

Hi everyone. I am having major frustration over all the bugs. Hope they're fixed soon. I currently cannot see the latest page in this thread either. Im hoping I will bw able to once I post.

I had to create new account. I was previously rlm34 - surgery was 10/21.

Hope everyone is doing ok! Im still losing exceptionally slow as well as having stalls. Tomorrow is 3 weeks out from surgery and Im down 6lbs. Remaining positive and exercising, logging and following plan. Is great to find my way to this new site.

On the iPad app, I discovered that if I go to the second to last page, then to the last page I can see the most current posts.

Hi all....just wanted to share my anxiety.

I was sooooo hungry tonight- and we stopped at Subway to get my son a sandwich. Now....Im only on 'soft foods', but I bought myself a sandwich. I only had three bites- no bread- just chicken and some vegetables. I wasnt supposed to eat raw vegetables and I am hoping and praying I don't get sick.

Wish me luck.

Chelle,

How did it go? I need to live vicariously through you tonight. I'm still on liquid for one more week. Two weeks out today. Doc says everything is on track. (I just wish the track included puree's this week.)

So I have been posting on the general forum since surgery (Halloween) about being in severe pain. So tonight I went to the emergency and it turns out my pain is not surgically related. I have swollen infected kidneys. This is the source of my pain. So I am on antibiotics and am soo looking forward to not being in pain. Feeling so painfully happy right now. So far down 15lbs since Halloween and 65 overall. Yay!!

I'm so glad you went to the ER! Now you can heal and feel better.

It'll be 6 weeks for me tomorrow.. I had my first salad yesterday, and it was so good.. Small, but good! Things get better once you get to add food back.. I cheated during my puree phase all the time, but I made sure it was super small quantities and chewed really well.. Just go slow and be careful!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
