Cal,D,K... Its viative chewable.

You really need ur vitamins. Abd I finally found a drink that taste like choc. Milk w/o three after taste. Its core power. Its 26g of Protein. I get one every now n then at Walmart. I don't get as much protein as I should but I try to get it at least to 60g. My problem is watching the carbs :( I. Keep calories down n like I said protein. But carbs is hard. Their in just about everything. :(

Hope this has helped.

My weight loss the past month has been sort of slow. I keep waiting to wake up and see a big drop in weight. I'm similar to Mz Shay. Down 47 pounds from HW. My arms are not too bad but my legs look kind of lumpy. I will take it though. I sure wouldn't want to still have the extra weight we have all lost. I have been swimming at the Y and I believe this has helped my arms. I hope you all keep up the good work and never forget how far we have all come.

i do have vitamins from Bariatric Advantage 3 months supply, the only problem with my Vitamin supply is it's for a gastric bypass Paitient and I had the duodenal switch which I have to take just a little more vitamins than with the RNY and I have a nut but I haven't seen her since my surgery and I saw her only as a consult before surgery that was all... I have this 100% natural organic whey Protein I got from the GNC store here it's supposed to be unflavored and that stuff let me tell you YUCK it makes stuff sweet :/ with a gross aftertaste :/ so anyways about my vitamins this is what I take Multivitamin - with A,D,E,K 2xs a day I believe calcium citrate -3xs a day 500mgs so that's 1500mgs Iron- not sure of mg on this but it's 1 a day B12 sub lingual- 1000mcgs a day (1x a day) THESE ARE ALL BARIATRIC ADVANTAGE VITAMINS I GOT. On a paper I have I should be taking the multivitamin 3 or 4 times a day the Calcium is supposed to be 2000mgs (4xs a day) B12 is good and Iron is supposed to be 2xs a day -_- but idk the mgs -_- and everytime I bring it up to my surgeon office they act retarded...

Another update.

Yesterday I had xrays with dye to make sure everything is going where it should be through my pouch & intestine. My dr wasn't at the appointment, unfortunately. I hope to have results by middle of next week.

Its been more than 3 wks that I've been heaving up to 6x per day. I'm barely eating or drinking. I'm taking antacid & anti nausea pills but half the time they come back up.

I had to cut back my work hrs and I've now been fired.

I'm not sure that the surgery was worth all this.

Girl...you and I have problems!!! I just got out of the hospital. I've been out of work since April so I know how that feels...and all because of health issues! I definitely regret my decisions now.

Even after I left the hospital last night with all of their tests "normal" and the promise that I would follow up with my liver and cardiac docs, I heaved for an hour straight last night...I can't eat or drink anything either! I'm at 125 and have to put on weight and have no idea how to do that except that they told me to drink 4 Protein shakes a day!!!! Wth???? They tried a nasal gastric tube while I was in the hospital but it just came out and then said just drink more protein...ugh!!!!! My surgeon is just basically washing his hands of me! He says that everything concerning him and the sleeve/bypass is all perfect so it must be something else. Well, what then?

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing a lot of hair loss. I lost a lot of hair before surgery but OMG I'm losing by the handfuls and when I say handfuls I mean literally 2 -3 FULL handfuls in the shower and another 2-3 after when my hair is dry... -_- is there anything I can do to help with the Hair loss?

Hair will fall out during months 3-6 because our bodies essentially are I'm starvation mode and are trying to protect the important parts of our body. Heart, brain, etc. Don't worry it will grow back.

Take Biotin 1000 mg a day. Careful too much will help that mustache to appear too. Also organics makes a Shampoo and conditioner with Biotin and collagen.< /p>

You know, I've been thinking about you...I know this sounds awful, but once when I couldn't keep down nausea meds they have me suppositories to help...maybe you could ask your doc?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
