Very filling yogurt

Recommended Posts

I crush up some granola bars in my Chobani Greek yogurt and mix it all up. It fills me as if i had a full meal. Anyone has any other recipes or idea they use with Chobani? I can't get enough of this yogurt!

I don't eat chobani ( the ones I have found all seem to be high in sugar) but I do use the Fage 0% plain and I add a bit of berries and some Kashi go lean crunch Cereal on top.

In the first few weeks post op I used to add some PB 2 to the plain yogurt so that could have something that wasn't so sweet. Mixed in some sugar free jelly and its like PB&J without the bread.< /p>

I am also addicted to chobani (pineapple), I just recently started adding some quaker granola Cereal (about 1/8 cup) and I feel soooooo full that I think I will continue to have it plain, I just love chobani pineapple yog :D

I eat my Greek yogurt with whole flax seeds. I usually eat Chobani or Oikos. The flax seed gives it a healthy crunch with out alot of added fat and calories and the most important part...cures constipation!!

Try Bare Naked Granola (low sugar) instead and adding 1/2 cup of blueberries to blueberry yogurt. That was my favorite Breakfast before surgery...

I haven't tried wheat germ but the flax seed is great in Oikos or Chobani...love those but is the sugar content too high? I don't have any issues with dumping but wasn't sure if maybe it's too much sugar??

I also like the Yoplait Greek - it is great to have all of this variety. Greek yogurt really is awesome to have as part of our high Protein Snacks and meals.

I hate the texture of yogurt but found a way around it by either throwing a little Cheerios in it or I take 1/2 a Protein Bar and crumble it up in there. I put a little SF Torani Carmel Syrup in too and most of the time that's Breakfast.< /p>

These are great ideas! Thank you! I've only just been able to hold down solids on Monday and I need ideas since I'm starting from scratch.

Have you ever tried Greek style cottage cheese? It is from Kemp's....I think the fruit added ones taste too sweet, but the one with cucumber or the plain is very good. They have 19 gm of Protein in 5.7oz.

I'm on pre op, but I discovered a great way to eat the plain yogurt. I buy the triple berry frozen blend, thaw it, stir some into the yogurt with some sweetener, yummy!! Tastes like a rich dessert.

I add bare naked vanilla granola mix into my yogurt. I hate the taste by itself. I found one yogurt that gives you a side of pistachios and mini pieces of chocolate it was a good change up and interesting combination.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
