Newbie here, although I have been lurking for a while. I don't have a date yet, but everything was submitted to the insurance today. I had my stress test and I am worried about the results.

That's awesome I might have to think about doing that too o start pre op on the 17 too and I keep going back and forth too. Good luck and I need a buddy also ;)
I am always on this site. Feel free to buddy me! I am attached at the hip to this place haha. My pre-op is definitely nicer than most here. I get real food! I do not think I will be starving. My stats so far are Hw: 333, CW: 295.3, and height 5'6. Feel free to message me anytime :)

I'm in Sydney and 2 weeks ago was rescheduled to tomorrow 26 Sept. Lying in bed clock watching at the moment with only 3hrs left until I need to get up to head to the hospital - excited and anxious all at the same time.

Wow, Skin soon longer October surgery!

How you feeling?

I have to wait 3-5 days to hear from my insurance and the results of my stress test. Part of me feels like it just won't happen. Anyone else felt that way? I'm hoping to be sometime after Oct. 15th. I just found out my son's best friend's mom had rny last June and is very happy that she did. I have to do a two week liquid diet if I get the go ahead. Not looking forward to that! Any books that you guys recommend for rny?

Preadmission testing today I can't believe I am a little over a week away. Feeling nervous and emotional today praying I am making the right decision I want my life back. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

It feels weird knowing i have only 1 more week of regular food to eat.

I only have to have a 4 day liquid pre op diet. Not to shabby.

There is a book out there called "The Big Book on the Gastric Bypass: Everything You Need to Know to Lose Weight and Live Well with the Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery". I have ordered it but it has yet to arrive, expected today. My RNY is in 31 days and counting.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
