Only 3 teaspoons for the entire day??!!?? Ok I feel like a pig now. Lol. I have done quite well. I can tolerate half of a soft scrambled egg. I've also been able to get down half of a small mashed potatoes (but not both in the same day). This stage isn't very easy because not many puréed foods are appealing to me. And I have 2 weeks of this. I may end up back on 2 shakes per day and eating a little something in between just to make it through and be able to get in my Protein.< /p>

I am having food issues! Nothing looks good, not much tastes good, and I know I am nowhere near my goals as far as liquid intake.

sugar-free Popsicles have been a lifesaver. I can eat those even when I can't drink or eat anything else. My throat closes and just won't swallow, until I break out the Popsicles. I know it's in my head but I just can't figure out which foods to eat. Tomorrow I am heading to our corner grocer for some more Popsicles. At least they help the liquid numbers a bit.

Is anyone else having the problem of nothing seeming appetizing?

I'm sorry ur having these problems. I can't be of much help because I was able to eat/drink normally out of surgery. So far, I haven't had any problems with what I have eaten other than not liking the taste of some liquids (Isopure is disgusting), and still not liking yogurt. :( I craved savory foods so when I was able to eat an egg or mashed potatoes it was like heaven. I know that what's important at first is to drink. Focus more on getting your Water in and the rest will fall into place. Sip all day. It sucks but it will get better.

Are you guys allowed to have scrambled eggs on purée phase? I can't seem to get a clear answer on whether its allowed or not?

I make watered down grits boil 1/2 cup of Water pour in grits microwave to taste add butter and equal. It's tastey and my nutritionist said I can have a little every day. It helps and it doesn't take much to make me full. The shakes have started to bloat me and make my stomach uncomfortable. Anyone else have this problem?

I wouldn't do scrambled for a couple of reasons. First, scrambling the egg actually changes the Protein structure and may make digestion more difficult. Second, scrambling is generally the unhealthiest cooking method. I did a boiled egg and chopped it with a bit of mustard and a dab of mayo. I won't lie, it was heaven.

That sounds delicious! But my nurse practitioner said the purée had to be falling off the spoon but I feel like I would do fine with that. Was it really thick?

I put it through a knife so it was chunky, but if you want it runny pop it in either a food processor with a few drops of Water or a blender. Thin it with something like a diluted chicken broth so it won't lose flavor.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
