Hello to everyone. I have one week to go before I have my surgery. I am having all sorts of feelings. I am sure that everyone experiences fear, and confusion about what to expect. I am going to read all of the threads about pre-op and 1 week post-op to get some idea of what to expect. All I ask is support from the group and I wish everyone having surgery soon "Good Luck." Nice to be aboard - heartsmile4_1 :kiss2:

I was the same way. After the first week on the liquid diet..I was questioning the surgery like crazy. I'd sit and talk with my hubby and try to figure out a better solution rather than surgery. That liquid diet was making me crazy! LOL!! I was on it for 2 weeks...it was awful! I would tell him..nope..I can't do this! I'd be fine the next day. Now it's been almost 4 weeks since I was banded and I'm so glad I did it. Those first weeks preop and 2 weeks po-op were the hardest. It was only hard because I got so tired of broth. Now I'm a very happy girl on full liquids and more variety. I'm hoping it will only get better. I'm so happy I did this!

Good luck to you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
