I've been wearing the same two pairs of xxl stretch pants for like 8 months now and I finally decided to suck it up and go jean shopping. I ended up having a damn breakdown in the dressing room because I've managed to go from size 20 to size 24 in less than a year! Agghh!!! I feel awful. I knew I had put on 20 lbs, but didn't realize I had also added so many inches. I know, It's common sense, but I just didn't want to face the fact that everyone else could tell too :( All of my pre-op requirements will be done August 8th, so I'm praying for insurance to approve me quickly so I can get a date in September.

I've worn jeans once since I had surgery. It was about six weeks after and they were about six inches too big. Before I was about to move into a bigger size. It was an amazing feeling. I don't intend to go jean shopping until the fall though when I can't wear sundresses anymore. Congrats and good luck on your surgery!! You'll be in a smaller size before you know it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
