Thank you for sharing your blog for everyone to see. I have a few questions (I am going to meet with my surgeon in two weeks just to start my process).

First, how long did it take from start to surgery? It seems like it was really quick for everything to go through for you.

Second, what made you go for the RNY? I am still in the deciding phase to which procedure to get.

Lastly, is not a question just a statement, congratulations on your success in the beginning.

Hey! Thanks for checking out my blog! It took me about a month to get everything finished but that was based on the fact that my schedule was completely free so I could bend to any date and time for appointments. Also my surgeon knew I wanted to have time before school started to get adjusted to diet Etc.

I chose the gastric BYPASS because you don't have a lap band that you have to deal with. If you get lap band I was told that you have to have it deflated if you go anywhere that you won't be able to get to a dr (cruises trips abroad etc) so things can't get stuck. Also typically you lose more weight with complete bypass. I was at 289 at surgery. I want to get to 160.

Thank you again for checking out my blog. Feel free to keep checking it out and asking questions there for others to see. I wish you luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
