Finally conscious enough to read and post here. Pain was nicely controlled on PCA but not as well on just the oral roxicet. Fluids going down good but I was sleeping so much that they kept the IV fluids on. Still very tired.

Well I've been out of recovery for about 4 hrs...ive been walking and I feel pretty good. Not using my pain pump too much, it's like a mild soreness in my tummy...I'm good though

I'm very sore

i just made it home...apparently I have anemia so I have to go back tomorrow for more blood work

How do you guys get water down when you feel so full??

I'm probably getting 20-25 ozs of fluid in right now. I aim for 1 oz every 30 minutes while I'm awake. They said by Friday to move to 2 ozs every 30 minutes.

I do have some killer back pain going on right now though.

You feel full from the swelling and fluids from surgery. Just try and sip as often as you can. It also helps to walk as much as you can.

Try room temp water, it seems when I drink something too hot or cold, it makes me feel full.

Nope, they said I looked pale when I came back from surgery. I think it was because I had trouble breathing because of where all the gas had settled. Then they said my blood count was low. I can get up to 1000 now on the incentive spirometer though.
