I hear you. I felt pretty pathetic' date=' too. It is going to get better real soon! I am about 16 days out and can't believe I was so weak such a short time ago. My stomach is still very sore, and I haven't quite gotten the rhythm of eating, snacking, sipping, etc. but I feel pretty normal otherwise. You've just had major surgery! Hang in there, and be kind to yourself.[/quote']

I sure hope so, I know it will get better but not being able to do anything sucks but I've been doing some things. Yea I'm afraid that is going to be the hardest part.. I hope the soar ness gets easier faster sleeping is the hardest

I just had my first major outing with the kids to a playoff game. I packed the cooler with healthy Snacks for the kids along with Water and Protein packs for me. I kept forgetting to sip water, and put off my shake. Not a good idea. I got pretty lightheaded and dizzy. When I did have my shake, I drank it too fast and got sick. It took about an hour to get myself straightened out. But I still made it through alive! Note; concession food was not tempting at all. Yay!

Hi everyone. I had my lap band removed and revised over to the RNY may 14. Almost 2weeks post op, starting weight 287, today's weight 271. I am really happy about my loss. I have a lot of pain still from where the port was on my lap band. They had to cut into my abdominal wall to remove it, so when I stand it takes the breath out of me. I have to admit I am struggling with my liquids. Everything is like cotton candy times 1000!!!! I was so hungry yesterday that I ate 5 small crackers, chewed to liquid and I felt so much better. I told my dietitian, and she said to not worry about it. Has this happened to anyone else???

I get in about 64 oz of Water (flavored with fresh lemon). Then for food I typically am getting in 3 small meals and 1 snack. My snack is a Protein Shake. And example of one day of meals would be. Breakfast cottage cheese. lunch. Greek yogurt. dinner. Veggie burger.

Since 1.5 weeks out, I get hungry. Not head hunger either, legit need to eat. No cravings though which helps.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
