A friend who doesn't know about my rny has asked me to join her at a dinner theater, for which she has tickets, but her husband can't attend. It's a buffet, so I'm not sure how to navigate it. I will tell her I had hernia surgery or something and can't really eat, but I'm sure there's something I can have. My doc has me on purees. In sure there will be Soup. Are mashed potatoes ok? Would watermelon be ok? I'm so nervous.

My nutritionist told me anything is ok as long as its soft enough to mash with a fork. I'm sure there will be a couple things you'll be able to eat.

How about fish? Is that touch and go with some people?

I’d get a big slice of prime rib and maybe a rack of ribs then I’d get a big mac and some fries...

or

you can say I’d love to - is it ok to just meet you at the theater part -

mild fishes like cod or tilapia. Soups. i wouldn't do fruit unless you are cleared for fruits, besides you need the Protein first and that will fill you up.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
